We, at Female Startup Club, are big fans of female entrepreneurs. Out of all the chaos we had lately, a few fantastic women entrepreneurs emerged to provide people everywhere with reliable, versatile beauty products.

Winnie Harlow, Selena Gomez, Courtney Cox, and Ciara- yes, Ciara! — are four celebrities who successfully started their beauty brands in 2022. Each of these brands offers products perfect for the home, skin, hair, and self, all while encompassing modern beauty standards.

This article will talk about these four notable female celebrities and a few others, as well as their successful beauty brands that were developed recently! Read on to get inspired by these kickass women who are killing it in business!

Modern-Day Successful Celebrity Brands

It has been vital for celebrity brands to be accessible and beneficial, and it’s a bonus that the most successful were run by powerful women in business.

The following startups are excellent examples of businesses developed by female entrepreneurs to help women care for their bodies and homes in the most loving ways possible.

1. Winnie Harlow’s ‘Cay Skin’

Winnie Harlow, born Chantelle Brown-Young, was diagnosed at a young age with a skin condition called ‘vitiligo.’ This skin condition causes patches of skin with different pigmentation, resulting in dark and light patches all over the body. As a result of her vitiligo, Winnie Harlow had to avoid specific products that would damage her skin.

Her beauty brand, Cay Skin, was developed because Harlow developed a horrible sunburn during a photoshoot due to not being able to use standard sunscreen. Her skincare line is vegan, dermatologist-tested, silicone-free, and cruelty-free, and her main goal is to provide quality skincare products for everyone’s skin type.

2. Ciara’s ‘OAM’

OAM stands for On A Mission — and Ciara is definitely on one. OAM is an amazing skincare product that provides the skin with Vitamin C to give it a beautiful glow. The skincare line dropped in September 2022, and it donates a portion of each On A Mission purchase to the Why Not You Foundation.

This foundation was founded in 2014 (by Ciara and others) and aims to empower youth by providing them with education, food security, and accessible healthcare. So, Ciara isn’t only on a mission to give the world healthy, functional skincare products but also to help youth get a better start in life.

3. Courteney Cox’s ‘Homecourt’

If you’ve ever seen Friends, you know that Courteney Cox’s character, Monica, loved to keep her space tidy and clean. This character trait seems to be a part of Courteney Cox’s real-life character, too, because she dropped her home beauty line, Homecourt, in 2022.

Homecourt offers a range of products to keep your living space clean, smelling fresh, and aesthetically pleasing. For example, it offers scented candles, special surface cleaners, dish, and hand soaps, and even tote bags to ease organization in the home.

Homecourt’s products have subtle and unique scents like Cyprus mint, rose, and neroli leaf.

4. Selena Gomez’s ‘Positive Light’ and ‘Rare Beauty’

Selena Gomez excited everybody when she dropped her brand called Positive Light. She aimed to see herself — and help others see themselves — in a positive light without having to conform to the beauty standards that have been offered in the media for so many years.

She also dropped Rare Beauty, another makeup line that offers a range of products from concealers, eye brighteners, foundations, and mascaras. The line is cruelty-free and vegan and was launched at the same time as the Rare Impact Fund. This fund takes 1% of all Rare Beauty purchases to help offer mental health resources to people worldwide.

But that’s not all… she’s also the founder of the newly launched mental fitness startup Wondermind, which she launched with her co-founders Daniella Pierson and Mandy Teefey after a powerful conversation around their mental health struggles.

5. Hailey Bieber’s ‘Rhode’

Hailey Bieber, married to Justin Bieber, launched her skincare line Rhode in 2022. Containing shea butter, niacinamide, marula oil, hyaluronic acid, and more, Rhode was designed to offer products that nourish and revitalize the skin.

On the Rhode advisory board are experts in cosmetology and dermatology to ensure the brand’s products are safe and effective.

Bieber designed Rhode to be ‘authentic, affordable, transparent, high-quality, and simple’ with numerous products targeting lip treatment and skin revitalisation. Rhode is a favourite of many.

6. Scarlett Johannson’s ‘The Outset’

The Outset is a skincare line developed by Scarlett Johannson and co-founded by Kate Foster. It offers a series of great products that target dry and dull skin, brightening it up and giving it vibrancy and a beautiful glow. The Outset is a minimalist skincare line, free of fragrance, gluten, and pore-clogging ingredients.

The Outset includes collagen serums, makeup removers, daily moisturizers, night creams, and eye creams that help nourish the skin and reduce lines and wrinkles around the eyes. Including antioxidants, this skincare line’s products exfoliate, clean, and moisturize the skin without the feeling of heavy products on the skin!

Conclusion

The beauty industry has seen a remarkable wave of innovation, creativity, and commitment to holistic well-being through the groundbreaking work of these female entrepreneurs. They have not only created beauty and skincare lines that cater to various skin types and needs but have also shown a firm commitment to ethical practices, inclusivity, and societal impact.
