Alex Cooper Call Her Daddy Podcast

Alex Cooper 7 Best Interviews from Call Her Daddy Podcast

Call Her Daddy has grown into one of the most influential podcasts in the world, consistently ranking second on Spotify since 2021. It sees Alex Cooper at the helm interviewing some of the biggest names in pop culture, politics, and entertainment. With millions of listeners tuning in each week, Alex’s fearless approach has made the show a massive hit: surprising only few when Alex inked a $125M deal with SiriusXM earlier this year. Below, we’ve compiled her seven best and juiciest interviews to date. Let’s dive in!

1. Kamala Harris – "The Vice President Joins Call Her Daddy"

In this iconic interview, Alex sat down with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. The conversation gave listeners an inside look at Harris’s journey through politics, the challenges she’s faced as a woman of colour, and how she remains unapologetic in her fight for justice and equality. It was one of those rare moments where politics met the raw, honest world of Call Her Daddy - and it was both divisive and  unforgettable. My fave quote? "Well, I think you and your listeners have really got this thing right, which is one of the best ways to communicate with people is to be real, you know, and to talk about the things that people really care about." Love a podcast win.

2. Miley Cyrus – "THE DADDY OF ALL DADDIES HAS ARRIVED"

Miley Cyrus opened up like never before in this interview. She discussed everything from her rise to fame as a child star on Hannah Montana to redefining her image as an adult. The episode was packed with vulnerability, humor, and empowerment as Miley talked about embracing change and pushing boundaries in the entertainment industry.

3. Hailey Bieber – "She Wants to Discuss This One Time and One Time Only"

Hailey Bieber’s candid conversation about life in the public eye, marriage to pop icon Justin Bieber, and maintaining mental health resonated with millions of listeners. The transparency in discussing personal hardships, even bringing up Selena Gomez, made this episode a fan fave, as these were topics that had never previously been discussed on a format like this one.

4. Demi Lovato – "Disney, Overcoming Addiction & Self-Love"

Demi Lovato’s interview was one of the most emotional episodes to date (queue tears). Demi shared their ongoing struggles with addiction and mental health, offering a raw and honest look at the battles they’ve faced and overcome. This conversation was a beacon of hope for listeners going through their own challenges, emphasising the importance of self-love and resilience. Gotta love that.

5. Emma Chamberlain – "Her First Official In-Person Interview"

YouTube's sweetheart Emma Chamberlain sat down with Alex to talk about her rise to fame, evolving from a teenager making DIY videos in her bedroom to becoming a global fashion icon. Emma’s down-to-earth personality that she became so popular through shone through, and fans loved her take on handling fame, dealing with online trolls, and staying grounded. Highly recommend a listen!

6. Chelsea Handler – "Getting High as F**k"

Chelsea Handler, always known for her sharp wit, did not hold back in her interview. She discussed everything from her career in comedy to her political activism and love life. Her no-filter attitude made this episode a standout as she delved into topics like sexual freedom and navigating Hollywood’s double standards. Yes, please.

7. Tish and Brandi Cyrus - "Disney, Daughters & Divorce"

Join Alex in the studio for a sit-down interview with Tish and Brandi Cyrus. The two share some hilarious insight into their mother-daughter dynamic and reflect on the ways their relationship has evolved over the years. This episode literally had be in tears, in the best way. Tish shares the traumatic experience that led her to realise her own love of weed and tells Alex her initial reaction to the infamous bong photo of Miley. The two talk all about the Hannah Montana era, how the show catapulted everyone to global fame, and the effects it had on the family dynamic.

Tackling Misogyny and Challenging Norms

While Call Her Daddy has built a reputation for its unapologetically bold content, it’s also faced criticism. Alex has been vocal in defending the platform’s approach, challenging outdated norms and encouraging open conversations about sex, relationships, and women’s empowerment.

All of this came to light when so much misogynistic *bs* started happening in the comments on one of our videos on YouTube championing Alex.

This side of the internet is bloody terrifying. When a woman is confident she’s too much. When a man is confident he’s a ‘natural leader’. When a woman with a profile builds a successful company she’s labelled an influencer, when a man does he’s an entrepreneur. When a woman builds an 8-figure podcast, it becomes the “lesser” version of some other dudes success that somehow warrants a mostly all men pile on of vial tear-her-down commentary.

‘Who tf is she?” She’s Alex MF Cooper. Innovator-Pioneer-Visionary! Spotify’s highest earning female podcaster! With a $125 million deal! Ugh.

But this issue goes beyond this one 57 second example that just so happened to end up on the wrong side of the internet. It speaks to the disproportionately larger systemic problem that is still very much alive and present in 2024: women are simply not valued the same in this world.

We are not valued the same by men (and before the wrong side of the internet gets their undies in a twist I’m not saying all men - but many many many men), not in the workplace, not in our governments, not by the media, certainly not by investors and not in society.

This perfectly shows us how Alex Cooper’s rise isn’t just limited to podcasting—her influence extends across social media, and throughout the world.
